Book Signing - Mazomanie World War I

Frank Wolf has written his ninth book on Mazomanie history. It is titled Mazomanie World War I.
This history book was written to recognize and describe the many patriotic World War I veterans
from the Mazomanie area. These 86 men are listed. Their military occupations, service length,
commands, military units and the battles they participated in are described. Muster dates, battle
deaths, disease deaths, prisoner and other demographic details are recorded. Many pictures,
sketches, maps, charts and graphs help define the historical record. Actual letters from seven
Mazomanie soldiers are reported as written by them. The many patriotic activities in the
Mazomanie area during the Great War are described.
A book signing has been scheduled at the Mazomanie Depot Library on Thursday, December 11
at 6:30 pm. The Greening – Buelow American Legion Post #437 sponsored the book printing,
with sales proceeds going to fund their community activities. Book price is $17.50.
The public is invited to attend to recognize these World War I Mazomanie heroes. The book
would make a nice Christmas gift!
